  • Welcome

Hello and welcome to my new blog-site!  It's my portfolio and my most recent work all wrapped up in one nice little package! To see my absolute favorite work, go up to the "Galleries" section at the top of the page and enjoy slideshows of my portfolio. If you are just interested in seeing what I am up to as of late, just scroll down and see posts from recent shoots, weddings, events, and even some of the daily happenings in the Lyell home. And to read a bit more about the photography, the pricing, and the photographers (myself and my hubby), go to the "About" section at the top of the page. I will be posting a lot on the blog, so check back often to see what's going on.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a beautiful day

Dear Erin and David, You guys are awesome.  You are so fun, so in love, and so beautiful (and handsome:) It was such a pleasure to be able to document your wedding.

What a joyous occasion the wedding of Erin and David was.  There were smiles, hugs, kisses, love, joy, tears, laughter, love, dancing, toasting, eating, love, friendship, family, oh and did I mention love?  Erin and David were so sweet with each other, and so wonderful together, the beautiful, positive energy just radiated from them to everyone else in attendence!  What a good day it was.

And with out further ado, the beautiful couple….above: david opening his gift from Erin. below: seeing erin for the first time on their wedding day (captured by dave)

The photographs are beautiful. Thanks for the picture of the flowers with the blue broach. It was worn by my mother, myself, my sister, Erin’s mother, Karla and now Erin used it in her wedding. I’m proud of the tradition it has become. All our families and their pictures are beautifully captured. Erin was beautiful and David is so good looking!
Thank you so much for sharing.

Baby John | Full Post

When going through these images, I was once again reminded of the miracle of life.  It is a miracle.  This little infant is four days into this life and is going to grow up, live life, love, fail, succeed, cry, laugh, and everything in between. But right now he doesn’t know any thing that is store for him, the only thing he knows is the love and comfort of his parents.  It really is a beautiful thing.  And I am once again reminded why I love what I do, and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

could this little boy be any sweeter?do you see that little smile in the left photo?i just had to put a crying photo up…i think it speaks to the essence of infatdom :)baby bluesproud parents love their little boy :)look how little he is!their dog was just being too sweet and sitting in too good of light to not photograph her :)the above is one of my favorites from the day. i love eveyones faces so close and looking at this new little onethe above two put together just crack me up…so much can change in a few seconds during shoots :)

Thanks Laura, John Claude, David and little John for everything!
